Much has been said about the expectations from and development of artificial intelligence or AI-based products. AI research and its industrial applicability are not nearly talked about enough. AI researchers and developers are converging next week in Boston to talk about all things AI at the Accelerator Summit 2023.
AI Accelerator Institute, a community of over 700,000 AI practitioners, notes that AI Accelerator 2023 Boston has “not a day of sales pitches.” The conference caters specifically to IT decision-makers with actionable insights into AI research, its value proposition, and its scalability.
Bloomberg Intelligence touts the generative AI market to grow at an astonishing compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 42%, from $40 billion in 2022 to $1.3 trillion in 2032. That’s just generative AI.
By 2032, the U.S. is expected to spend over 2.5% of its GDP on AI, according to Goldman Sachs. For a rough overview, the administration spent 2% of the GDP on the Transportation sector in 2022. Goldman Sachs economists Joseph Briggs and Devesh Kodnani said, “A substantially larger hardware and software push will likely be required for generative AI to scale.”
